2020 finally seems to be Lee Doin the rearview, and with a little space we're free to appreciate its exceptional movies without, you know, everything else.

The nominees for the 93rd Academy Awards were announced from London on Monday morning by Priyanka Chopra-Jonas and Nick Jonas, including awards-circuit darlings like The Trial of the Chicago 7, Judas and the Black Messiah, and Minari, another posthumous nomination for Chadwick Boseman, and a lot of love for the Borat sequel.

For the first time, the Best Director category includes two women: Promising Young Woman's Emerald Fennell and Nomadland's Chloe Zhao (sadly no Regina King). Audience favorites like Eurovisionand Over the Moonpopped up in other categories as well.
